Our injection moulding processes are backed by strict quality control procedures at every stage, from material inspection and in-process monitoring to final product checks. Using advanced measuring equipment and rigorous testing, we ensure each part meets exact specifications and exceeds customer expectations.

Production Run Inspection

Every production run is carefully monitored to maintain consistent quality.

  • First and Last Off inspections are conducted.
  • Full or partial dimensional checks occur every 24 hours.
  • Visual checks take place throughout the process.

All parts and processes are supported by fully documented work instructions — including quality issues, problem history, packing specifications, and operator guidelines.

On-site Measuring Equipment

  • CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) - High-precision dimensional verification
  • Optical Measuring Device (OMD) - Optical accuracy for complex parts
  • Height Gauges, Verniers, Micrometres, Thread & Plug Gauges - Daily measurement assurance
  • Bespoke Gauges & Checking Aids - Designed and made in-house as required


All measuring equipment is calibrated annually.

Our facilities also include a Material Moisture Analyser and the ability to perform basic tensile and impact testing in-house.

Quality Documentation & Reports

FAIR – First Article Inspection Report

Validates that your product has been manufactured to the correct dimensional specification. Available upon request.

Material CofC – Certificate of Conformity

Ensures full material traceability and verification. Available upon request.

ISIR – Initial Sample Inspection Report

Used to verify that new parts meet specifications before full-scale production. Ensures consistency and accuracy during product introduction.

Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) ensures every part is manufactured to precise specifications — each time, every time. For our customers, PPAP provides confidence that quality is consistent and risks are minimized. For Clamcleats Ltd., it ensures smooth production and reliable results.

Our PPAPs can include any or all of the following elements:

  • Design documentation and engineering change notices
  • Customer approvals and DFMEA risk analysis
  • Process flow diagrams and PFMEA reviews
  • Control plans and measurement system analysis
  • Dimensional layout results and verification reports
  • Certification and compliance documentation (CofC, RoHS, REACH, Prop65)
  • Statistical process control data
  • Qualified laboratory documentation
  • Appearance approval and sample submissions
  • Master samples, checking aids, and part submission warrants

The PPAP process is meticulous, ensuring thorough planning and consideration before and during production to reduce errors and waste, delivering high quality products to our customers.

Design Documentation 

This includes the technical drawings alongside the purchase order to ensure everything aligns and meets the requirements.

Engineering Change Notice 

This would be present if the request is for
amendments to be made to an existing part.
